PRNT 515G - Prenatal in a Weekend
Course Description
Prenatal classes help individuals preparing for birth make informed choices by providing education on pregnancy, labour, and birth. We welcome clients receiving care from both midwives and physicians. Our instructors are nurses with specialized training in lactation, childbirth, prenatal, and postnatal care.
In this course, you will learn about the stages of pregnancy and labour, how to prepare for labour and delivery (including comfort techniques, interventions, and available options), and how to care for both the birthing person and baby.
Classes can be taken at any time, but we recommend participating in the third trimester. Spaces fill quickly, so we encourage early registration.
