Continue your woodworking journey in a supportive and engaging environment with this intermediate-level course designed for women. Building on the foundational skills acquired in Level 1, this course will deepen your understanding of woodworking techniques and tool operation. You’ll refine your ability to work with both hand and power tools while tackling a more intricate woodworking project. Strengthen your confidence, enhance your craftsmanship, and expand your ability to take on more complex woodworking tasks.
Course Outline
By the end of this course, learners will:

Build on the fundamental woodworking skills gained in Level 1 by working with a wider range of tools and techniques.

Strengthen their ability to use both hand and power tools with greater precision and efficiency.

Develop a more in-depth understanding of woodworking safety protocols for working with advanced tools and machinery.

Apply newly learned techniques to construct a more detailed and challenging woodworking project.

Gain the confidence and knowledge needed to take on independent woodworking projects, home improvements, or even entrepreneurial pursuits.
This course offers an empowering, hands-on learning experience in a welcoming environment, equipping participants with the skills to advance their woodworking abilities while fostering creativity and independence.
Notes
The course fee covers all necessary supplies and materials. CSA-approved safety footwear is not required, but recommended for shop. Please bring a bag lunch as campus food services are limited on weekends, You are welcome to bring your own eye & ear protection if you have them.
